Canadian Path updates
HI All Happy New Year!! (and Merry Christmas .. as few days late) I've added some info about the Canadian Path to the site. For now I've aimed it at the Scouts, but the Cubs & Beavers follow the same Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) path that the older youth do. Have a safe and enjoyable New Year YiS (Yours in Scouting) Scouter Glenn |

Scouts are going to CJ17!!
Hi all Several of 1st Stouffville's Scouts have decided they want to join hundreds of other Scouts from across Canada in Nova Scotia next summer for the Canadian Jamboree 2017! This is an incredible, once in a lifetime opportunity for the youth to interact with other troops and partake in activities on a grand scale. We will be partnering with the Ballantrae troop, as their past experiences in Calgary during CJ13 has already been invaluable. Attached is the presentation made to Scouting families in early in the Spring in both groups. We are at the beginnings of the financial ask and registration. Once we have a commitment to numbers, we can begin planning fund raising activities. We would like the Scouts to take advantage of the early registration in June, so cheques for $300 are required please, in addition to post-dated Cheques for $350 for Nov 15 (two cheques of $175 for the Fall is fine as well). Please make them out to "1st Stouffville Scouts". Please let Derek or Glenn know, and bring in cheques ASAP. YiS Scouter Glenn, and Scouter Derek |
